As ADL continues to grow, ADL is looking for a staff accountant to join the Boston Based finance team.

This role is hybrid and will require one day per week in the office. This role will start at the end of Q1 2025 or beginning of Q2 2025. Ability to work fulltime in that timeframe is a must. 

Responsibilities

  • Process and input accounts payable in G/L
  • Assist with client billing and process in the G/L
  • Prepare and organize check-runs this includes mailing payments and filing
  • Process daily cash receipts and disbursements
  • Process employee expense claims: reconciliation with receipts, update payroll reimbursement list, process of GL entry into the accounting GL
  • Communicate with staff for follow up actions as needed
  • Assist with subcontractor hires, processing contracts and invoices
  • Assist Controller with month end & year end closing
  • Support Controller with annual statutory reports
  • Work on specific projects and initiatives as directed by the Controller

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance /​ Accounting or equivalent
  • 1-3​ years’ experience in accounting or equivalent field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills is a must (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Self-motivated individual with analytical skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast – paced environment
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and changes in work environment
  • A critical thinker, highly organized and detail oriented
  • A team player who manages own workload but can be flexible according to the needs of the team
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central a plus
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus but not essential
