ADL US has quadrupled its revenues and staff since 2019.  ADL has made the decision to dramatically increase its investments and plans for growth in the US market.  ADL is planning for a doubling of our US business within the coming 2 years through a combination of expansion in existing practices and addition of teams in additional industry practices. As ADL continues to grow, ADL is looking for experienced managers in Automotive and Manufactured Goods.

Proximity to one of our offices (Boston, San Francisco, New York, Detroit or Atlanta (anticipated in 2025) is required. This role is hybrid, suggested 2 – 3 days in the office (when not on client site), however, flexibility is available on a case-by-case basis.  

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:  

 

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Automotive and Manufactured Goods team as Managers. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in strategy consulting and industry expertise, as well as a passion for transforming the automotive and manufactured goods sectors. 

 

As a manager you will:  

  • Lead project teams through an efficient and effective problem-solving process, from initial hypotheses to actionable recommendations. 
  • Ensure recommendations are correct, practical, sensible, relevant, and cohesive.  
  • Assist with and lead business development opportunities, including identifying potential clients, developing proposals, and building long lasting client relationships to expand the team’s market presence. 
  • Exhibit thought leadership at the strategic level while commanding all the technical and operational details critical to successful execution. 
  • Possess outstanding communication skills and the ability to forge strong relationships with clients and team members. 
  • Drive innovation and operational excellence by addressing client challenges with industry-specific solutions. 
  • Lead, train, and mentor junior staff.  

Qualifications

Educational Background: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; STEM or hard sciences background preferred. 
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) in a related field is a plus. 

Professional Experience: 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or a combination of consulting and automotive/manufactured goods industry roles (Aerospace & Defense, Industrial Goods, Recreational Products & Power Sports, Electric Vehicles, etc) . 
  • Deep knowledge of or demonstrated interest in the automotive and manufactured goods (Aerospace & Defense, Industrial Goods, Recreational Products & Power Sports, Electric Vehicles, etc) sectors. 
  • Track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.  

Key Skills and Attributes: 

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience in hypothesis-driven analysis and data interpretation. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and fostering collaboration. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and adaptability to diverse and dynamic environments. 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Strategy consulting with a focus on automotive or manufactured goods industries (Aerospace & Defense, Industrial Goods, Recreational Products & Power Sports, Electric Vehicles, etc). 
  • Direct experience in roles within automotive manufacturing, supply chain, or operational strategy. 
  • Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in the sector, such as electric vehicles, Industry 4.0, or sustainable manufacturing practices. 

Additional Requirements: 

  • Have U.S.A. work authorization, at least OPT STEM
