As ADL continues to grow, ADL is looking for an accountant based out of our Mexico City office to join the America’s finance team.

Responsibilities

US Market (fast growing market and responsibilities are likely to evolve quickly)

  • Process and input accounts payable in G/L
  • Assist with client billing and process in the G/L
  • Process daily cash receipts and disbursements in the G/L
  • Process employee expense claims: reconciliation with receipts, update payroll reimbursement list, process of GL entry into the accounting GL
  • Communicate with staff for follow up actions as needed
  • Project tracking system and accounting system reconciliation
  • Timesheets tracking and fallow up with consultants if any discrepancies
  • Work on specific projects and initiatives as directed by the Controller

 

Mexico Support

  • Payroll Support: Assist in payroll processing and review, ensuring accurate calculations of salaries, benefits, and provisions such as Aguinaldo, vacation premium, and PTU.
  • Tax Compliance and Filings: Support with the review of monthly tax returns (ISR, IVA, IMSS, INFONAVIT, SUA, DIOT) and validate subcontractor withholdings. Assist in addressing tax-related queries and audit requests.
  • Accounting and Reporting Support:  Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Coordination with External Providers: Collaborate with external accountants and HR/payroll providers across LATAM to ensure compliance with local obligations and consistent execution of accounting and payroll processe

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance /​ accounting or equivalent
  • Fluency in English is a must
  • 5+​ years’ experience in accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills is a must (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Mexican tax and payroll obligations
  • Experience using SAT Tools and official submission platforms
  • Experience with electronic accounting and bookkeeping regulations in Mexico
  • Experience with financial Reporting
  • Self-motivated individual with analytical skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast – paced environment
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and changes in work environment
  • A critical thinker, highly organized and detail oriented
  • A team player who manages own workload but can be flexible according to the needs of the team
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity
  • Problem-solving and process improvement mindset
